IFS Parts Work to Process World Events

This workshop offers support for emotional processing  of world events using the effective and empowering approach of IFS parts work.

As we experience intensifying political upheaval, injustice and economic insecurity, we benefit from connecting with all of our parts, including those that may feel overwhelmed, helpless, angry, afraid or grieving.

Through parts work, we can wisely welcome all aspects of ourselves without getting blended or flooded by the big emotions such world crises may evoke, allowing inner qualities and capacities of compassion, curiosity, clarity, belonging, and courage to shine through.

A key element of parts work is the recognition of our “Self”–or essence–that is imbued with capacities such as clarity, courage, compassion and creativity. This is what distinguishes parts work from other approaches that might emphasize continual self-improvement or relying on an external expert. It's a fundamentally different relationship with ourselves, with our communities, and with world crises, based in compassion and wisdom.

Accessing Self also leads to Self-Leadership: healthy collaboration with others, reduced conflict and polarization, and inspired responses to planetary crises.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Explore our parts personally and in community

  • Engage in parts work for emotional wellbeing

  • Experience Self-leadership and tap into creative, courageous, and compassionate capacities

This workshop will be highly interactive and deeply transformative, providing you with skills and tools that you can apply both personally and professionally. This is why this workshop will not be recorded.

Part of an ongoing series connecting parts work with world events, you are welcome to attend any workshop. Familiarity with parts work is not necessary.
